Augusta 2021 Online Heritage Workshops
June 7 - November 1$100
Augusta’s Online Heritage Workshop Series
Members of our summer heritage workshop series will once again be treated to everything Augusta has to offer. Study with over 75 traditional culture-bearers and master artists in bluegrass, blues, Cajun & Creole, classic country, old-time, swing, and vocals. Due to the continued uneven financial impact of the pandemic, memberships will be based on a donation of your comfort level (suggested $100).
Will I have to spend a lot of time on my computer this summer to participate in Augusta’s online workshops? No! We realize that this summer is much different from last summer. Instead of sitting at home on lockdown, we can now enjoy most outdoor recreational activities with our families and friends. For this reason, we are making our lessons and workshops as time flexible as possible. Workshops will be delivered using two formats.
- Pre-recorded lessons that allow you to learn at your own pace and enjoy multiple times.
- Zoom events such as cultural sessions, panel discussions, jams, concerts, participant showcases, and more. These “live events” will occur between July 5-23 and will be spread out for your convenience. No need to take off work or dedicate large amounts of time in a single day.
All content will open on June 7, 2021, and everything will be accessible until November 1, 2021. All events held via Zoom will be recorded and accessible for unlimited viewing until November 1, 2021. The comment feature allows for questions about the lessons and promotes interaction between the learner and the instructor.
