Nicholas County is located an hour and a half east of Charleston, WV. It is home to Summersville and Richwood, WV. The area includes parts of the Gauley River National Recreation Area and Summersville Lake, the largest lake in WV with 60 miles of shoreline and 2800 acres of water. In addition to a thriving arts community, Nicholas County is host to several fairs and festivals including the Feast of the Ramson, Gospel & Bluegrass festivals, Civil War Weekend and the Gauley Fest.
