The Arts Center Covid-Compliant Cohort Fused Glass Class

The Arts Center Covid-Compliant Cohort Fused Glass Class

Starting Friday, May 7th, 2021, The Arts Center will be offering introductory hands-on COVID Compliant Cohort (CCC) workshops are designed for 2–5 friends/family members. You work in a small group with only those people in your social group who you’ve invited to this class. You receive individualized guided instruction from our fused glass artist to help you create your own work of art.

Prepared materials will be provided with a choice of colorful sheet glass, puddles, dots, strips, noodles and thin stringer. Each piece will be assembled from the cold glass using your own color choices and sense of style. After class, it will be fused and slumped in the kiln to be picked up the following week. Each person will make at least one piece if not two.

How does it work?

First, create your Cohort. Gather a group of friends and family who will take the workshop with you. This is a private instruction class, and no individuals other than those you invite will be allowed to take part in the class. A minimum of two paid attendees are required to run a CCC workshop and no more than four can attend.

Next, decide what you would like to make. Each member of your group must make the same type of item.

  • Slumped Dish Workshop
  • Suncatcher Workshop
  • Draped Candle Holder Workshop

Finally, choose a time and date that is good for everyone.

CCC classes are available Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each workshop will run for 2 hours and class can start at 4:00, 6:00 or 8:00pm. Only one workshop will take place in the studio at a time, therefore be sure and have a few alternative dates and times to ensure an available slot.

  • 2 per group: $100
  • 3 per group: $140
  • 4 per group: $170

Total in full

Material fee $12 (exact cash) per person paid directly to the instructor for the materials she provides. This creates a 4×4 inch piece. You can make additional pieces for $12 also.

*Masks are required
